North Hempstead Announces Fall 2013 Fitness Classes at the “Yes We Can” Community Center

North Hempstead, NY –Supervisor Jon Kaiman, Councilwoman Viviana Russell, and the North Hempstead Town Board recently announced the Town’s Fall 2013 exercise and fitness class schedule, advocating the administration’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles.
All of the classes will be held at the fitness studio at the North Hempstead “Yes We Can” Community Center, located at 141 Garden Street in New Cassel. Registration for the September sessions is already underway and many of the classes are quickly filling up.
Residents can sign up for aerobics, children’s ballet, children’s fitness, martial arts, Zumba, and ballroom dancing. Eight sessions of any of the above activities will be offered for an amount of $50.
“With exercising and eating healthy becoming the newest trend, these fitness classes are just one example of how the Town is dedicated to help enhance your quality of life,” said Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman.
In addition to the fitness studio and state-of-the-art fitness center, the 60,000 square-foot, platinum-LEED certified “Yes We Can” Community Center boasts an array of features, including a massive gym with two NBA-sized basketball courts, a dance studio, an internet cafe, and multi-purpose rental space.
