Town to Continue Public Meeting on Albertson Mews

Immediate Release - Contact: David Chauvin - August 18, 2005 (516) 869-7794

Manhasset, NY – Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Councilman Tom Dwyer has announced that the Town of North Hempstead will continue its public hearing concerning the “Albertson Mews” project proposal on August 30, 2005. The public hearing will be held at Town Hall, 220 Plandome Road in Manhasset at 7:30pm. The hearing will focus on the proposed rezoning from I-B to R-M for the property located on the east side of Albertson Avenue, designated as section 9, block 104, lots 23-36. The site’s addresses are 73-79 Albertson Avenue.

The owner of the property and his representatives attended an Albertson Square Civic Association meeting approximately two years ago and introduced the Albertson Mews Project. At the meeting, the owner detailed a plan to build 10 units of multiple residential housing. Upon construction these 10 units would be sold at market value.

Residents who have comments, questions or suggestions on this issue, but cannot attend the meeting can e-mail Councilman Dwyer at dwyert@northhempsteadny.gov.
