Councilman Zuckerman Honors former Roslyn H.S. Track Star

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Councilman Peter Zuckerman recognized former Roslyn High School track star Emily Lipari for her remarkable athletic and academic career at Villanova University. Lipari ended her Villanova career with a pair of NCAA Championships, 9 All-America honors, 13 Big East titles, and 6 Penn Relays Championship of America titles. She was also named the Wildcat Female Senior Student-Athlete of the Year, for her performance on the track and in the classroom.

She is a resident of Greenvale and a 2010 graduate of Roslyn High School where she was a four-time national champion in the mile, and a four-year scholar athlete in addition to numerous other accolades. She graduated from Villanova this past spring with a Psychology degree, with a minor in Biology.

“It is so exciting to have such a wonderful young woman living right here in the 2nd Council District,” Councilman Zuckerman said. “I wish Emily the best as I am sure her triumphs on the track and in the classroom will translate into a successful career in the real world.”
