Town Reminds Residents to Sign Up For PSEG’s Critical Facilities List

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board remind residents who have a pre-existing health condition (medical condition) to sign up for PSEG Long Island’s Critical Facilities list. Qualifying individuals on this list will receive notifications and assistance in the case of a natural disaster.

In order to subscribe for the Critical Facilities list, individuals must have written confirmation from their medical doctor. The certification must be on the doctor’s stationery and contain: the date, the doctor’s name, address, state registration number, doctor’s signature, the name and address of the patient, the nature of the medical condition and type of medical apparatus (if applicable). All information should be faxed to 631-844-3613.

Residents are reminded to sign up for North Hempstead Alert, which provides emergency updates through emails, text messages and phone calls. You can sign up by logging on to www.northhempsteadny.gov or calling 311 or 516-869-6311.
