PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE             CONTACT: Alan Gershuny  (516)869-7794

(Manhasset, N.Y.-May 19, 2006) North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman announced today that a public meeting would be held at the Port Washington Library on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 7:00 p.m., to discuss an application to build a three story hotel in Port Washington at 326 Main Street, on the site where the Bradley Hotel once stood.

Supervisor Kaiman said: "I urge all interested residents to attend this meeting and share your thoughts on this proposal with me, Councilman Fred Pollack, and the members of the Shared Vision Steering Committee." "While the visioning effort did identify the need for a hotel in this area," Kaiman added, "we are interested to hear community input on this specific proposal."

Kaiman advised that postcards had been mailed to Port Washington residents to invite them to the meeting, and that residents who were not able to attend could share their views by e-mailing the Supervisor at KaimanJ@northhempsteadny.gov and/or Councilman Pollack at PollackF@northhempsteadny.gov.
