Clark Botanic Garden to Hold Chrysanthemum Class


North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth is proud to announce that Clark Botanic Garden will be hosting a free program, presented by The Long Island Chrysanthemum Society, Inc., “Growing Chrysanthemums for Beginners” at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 5 at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson.

Chrysanthemums (or “mums”) are beautiful autumn blooming flowers which come in a wide variety of bloom types and colors. Participants will learn how to tend to these flowers from the spring until they bloom in the fall. The program will conclude with a tour of Clark Botanic Garden conducted by Horticulturist Bonnie Lynn Klein.

Clark Botanic Garden is a 12-acre living museum and educational facility located at 193 I.U. Willets Road in Albertson.
