SUPERVISOR KAIMAN ANNOUNCES 2006 SPOOKY WALK SCHEDULE

(Manhasset, NY-September 28) – North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman announced today that the Annual Spooky Walk at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson would take place on Thursday, October 26 through Saturday, October 28 (6-9 PM), and that the Annual Not-So-Spooky Walk would be held on Sunday, October 29, from 12 Noon to 6 PM.

Kaiman said: “This event has become so popular we added additional activities and trails.” “I hope our residents come out to enjoy this spine-tingling event,” Kaiman added, “and invite our youngest residents to the much less scary not-so-spooky  walk on Sunday the 29th.”

During the 3 nights of Spooky Walk, attendees will walk new trails where they might be asked to walk the plank by spooky pirates, and meet with ghouls, goblins and ghosts.  This event may not be suitable for young children and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.  The band “It’s Only Rock and Roll” will perform on Saturday, October 28th, from 6-9 PM.  Refreshments will be available and there is a $4 per person admission charge.

Young children and their parents will love the much less scary Not-So-Spooky events on Sunday, October 29th, from 12 Noon to 6 PM.  Starting at 3 PM there will be a costume parade for toddlers down to the main Clark house where scary tales will be read from 4PM to 6PM.  Furthermore, a children’s band, Leo’s Mom, will perform 2 shows, at 1:00 PM and 2:15 PM.  There is a $3 per person admission fee for Not-So-Spooky Walk.

Residents are asked to call 311 for further information.
