North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Council Member Dina De Giorgio, along with the Port Washington Parking District, are pleased to announce that the Town has secured six bike lockers at the Port Washington Long Island Railroad (LIRR) station from the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT). These six bike lockers will hold be open to Port Washington Parking District residents and will be on a first come first serve basis and will be managed by the Port Washington Parking District. Parking District residents will be able to rent lockers on a yearly basis for a small fee of $40 per year, as well as a lock replacement deposit of $40, which is refundable upon return of the keys to the locker. The lockers are not available for use on a daily basis.

These bike lockers were purchased with a grant from NYS DOT 511NY Rideshare program at no cost to the Town.
