Town Installs Bike Rack Outside Town Hall to Encourage Alternative Transportation

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board Members are pleased to announce that the Town has installed a bike rack outside of Town Hall to encourage the use of bicycle transportation. The rack is not only for Town employees to use, but can be used by anyone needing to lock up their bike for a trip into town or to the railroad station. The rack is located near the side door of Town Hall on Andrew Street.

“We would like to encourage biking to work and this bike rack offers a safe and convenient place to lock a bicycle,” said Supervisor Bosworth. “I hope that Town employees and residents will take advantage of it.”

The rack was designed by Huntoco of Oregon, a leading manufacturer of commercial bike racks and bike lockers.
