Councilman Ferrara, Town Clerk Gross attend Pet Resort ribbon cutting

New business welcomed in Mineola

On Friday, June 20, Councilman Angelo P. Ferrara and Town Clerk Leslie C. Gross attended the grand opening of the Best in Show Pet Resort located at 244 Herricks Road in Mineola. They each presented the co-owners with a well deserved certificate of excellence for the opening of this establishment and welcomed them to the community. Also on hand was Village of Mineola Mayor Jack Martins.

Councilman Ferrara remarked, “As a dog owner, I’m glad to see that there are safe alternatives to local kennels and I wish them the best of luck.”

Town Clerk Gross said, “This is a beautiful resort and very impressive, creative concept. What dog wouldn’t have a great time here?”

Best in Show Pet Resort is a new state of the art facility with 120 dog suites of varying sizes based upon each dog’s specific needs. Along with the luxurious suites come the options of additional services including doggie day care, spa and salon, and a pet hotel. The resort also encompasses a state of the art veterinary hospital.
