Councilman Ferrara to sponsor

Adult, Infant, and Pediatric CPR & AED training course

Town of North Hempstead Councilman Angelo P. Ferrara will be sponsoring National Safety Council Adult and Pediatric CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training and certification courses. Two sessions will be offered this October and will be held at North Hempstead Town Hall.

"Infant, child and adult CPR and AED training are critical skills to have in case of an emergency," Councilman Ferrara said. "If this program saves even just one life, it would be well worth the time spent attending".

Two sessions will be given, but only one is needed for certification:

Session One: Tuesday October 12, 2010 from 9AM to 1PM

Session Two: Tuesday October 12, 2010 from 6PM to 10PM

Class size is limited to fifteen people, so registration is on a first come, first serve basis with priority given to North Hempstead residents. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be certified by the National Safety Council and certificates will be issued.

There is a fee of $50 a person, which covers all materials and certification cards. Checks are to be made payable to Code Red Training, Inc. and should be mailed to:

North Hempstead Town Hall
ATTN: Councilman Angelo P. Ferrara
220 Plandome Road
Manhasset, New York 11030

Please make sure your check contains your name, full address, phone number and the time of the class you wish to attend. A reservation will be made once the check has been received, and a confirmation letter will mailed. There will be no refunds.

"It is my pleasure to make these classes available to the residents of North Hempstead and for further questions, please contact my office at 869-7775 or email me at FerraraA@NorthHempsteadNY.gov" concluded Councilman Ferrara.
