Free Town of North Hempstead Business & Tourism Development Corp Seminar Explores Social Media as a Tool to Grow Business

North Hempstead, NYWith consumer confidence at an all-time low, forcing businesses to search for creative ways to get patrons in the door, Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman, the Town Board and the Town’s Business & Tourism Development Corp. invite you to a free seminar on using social media to grow your business.

One in an ongoing series of business development round tables, Social Media II: A Step--by-Step Guide on How to Get You Started will convene Tuesday Oct. 18 at Harbor Links Golf Course in Port Washington starting at 8:00 am

This follow-up tutorial will delve into the specifics on how to establish and maintain communications with your existing customer base as well as attract new customers, not only locally, regionally and nationally but globally.

According to experts, Social Media—aka social networking—has become more than a global phenomenon. When combined with your online presence and online outreach, it becomes a revenue-generating engine, if done right.

So bring your laptop, iPad, iPhone, tablet, Android OS, smart phone and other portable device and experience a hands-on demonstration on the basics of using social media.

A free Continental breakfast will be served as attendees digest advice from a team of experts including Karin Caro, president, BluChip Marketing, Bohemia, NY, David A. Chauvin, Director of Public Relations, Zimmerman Edelson, Inc., Great Neck, NY and Deborah H. French, Director, Social Media/Print Publications, Zimmerman Edelson, Inc.

To register, call 516-869-7759 OR register online at www.btdc.biz
