Kayak Run Set for July 21

North Hempstead, NY– Supervisor Jon Kaiman, Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio and the North Hempstead Town Board in partnership with the Community Chest of Port Washington and the Port Kayak Club, invite all residents to he eighth annual Kayak Run.

Starting at the North Hempstead’s Town Dock, the event requires participants to paddle at their own pace to as many as possible of the designated locations around Manhasset Bay where they collect raffle tickets. The more locations on the Bay participants go to, the more raffle tickets they receive!

“I am looking forward to another terrific Kayak Run here on Manhasset Bay,” said Supervisor Kaiman. “Our bays are cleaner than ever before. It really is an ideal destination for kayaking or canoeing.”

To participate in the Manhasset Bay Kayak Run, you must complete a registration form and submit it, along with an entry fee: $5.00 for young adults and children and $25.00 for adults over 20. Registration on the day of the event is $35.
