North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman joined dozens of residents, veterans and elected officials at the Albertson, Garden City Park, Great Neck and Mineola Memorial Day parades .

Supervisor Kaiman spoke at the ceremony at the Garden City Park School, where he reminded hundreds of parade-goers the importance of recognizing those who gave their lives in defense of our nation.

“Today is important not just to those who knew someone who made the ultimate sacrifice, but it’s significant for all of us to take the time to commemorate these courageous men and women who died in the name of our country,” said Supervisor Kaiman. “The fight to preserve our freedom continues today, so that our great country can continue to prosper.”
