Receiver of Taxes Rocco Iannarelli reminds all taxpayers who have not yet paid their school taxes that the last day to pay the 2004-2005 School Tax is Tuesday, May 31, 2005.
Second-half school taxes are due with a two percent (2%) penalty. If unpaid, the first-half 2004-2005 School Tax is also due with an eight percent (8%) penalty and must be paid prior to, or simultaneously with, the second-half School Tax.
All payments must be postmarked not later than May 31, 2005 and mailed to:

Mailed payments must be postmarked by the US Postal Service on or before the last day to pay. Office postage meters by law are not official postmarks (NYSRPTL-Sec 925).
After May 31, 2005, unpaid School Taxes, penalties and fees will be payable to the Nassau County Treasurer, 240 Old Country Road, 3rd Floor, Mineola, NY 11501.
