Supervisor Bosworth Attends Working Women of Manhasset Dinner

North Hempstead, NY – On Wednesday, June 11th, Supervisor Judi Bosworth attended the Working Women of Manhasset's Annual Woman of the Year Dinner as the organization named Carol Comerford its "Woman of the Year" for her service to the organization, business achievements, and community service. The organization also awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Megan Erickson, a Manhasset High School senior, for her academic achievements and working experience.

"In this day and age, many of us encounter unprecedented challenges when it comes to balancing a home life and a career," said Supervisor Bosworth. "Raising a family, and having a successful professional life, is not an easy task. That¹s why it is important that we recognize women who are able to be successful in both areas."

Supervisor Bosworth presented both of the honorees with certificates from the Town of North Hempstead honoring their achievements.

The Working Women of Manhasset is a close support network for local women to provide professional and personal growth. The group also raises funds for several local charities including the Manhasset Coalition Against Breast Cancer, Hugs Across America, Manhasset After School Xperience, and Adventures in Learning.
