North Hempstead Releases 2014 ‘Welcome to Port Washington’ Brochure
North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, the Town Board and the Business and Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC), are proud to announce that the 2014 ‘Welcome to Port Washington’ brochure is now available. The brochure provides information on the town dock amenities and services, as well as information on over one hundred local businesses our community can support in Port Washington.
“North Hempstead has many wonderful recreational and entertainment spots,” Supervisor Bosworth said. “This brochure will connect you directly to the businesses that make the historic waterfront community of Port Washington so much fun to frequent during the summer season.”
The brochure contains a map that shows where the businesses are located. The various types of businesses on the map include: food & drink, retail, boat rentals & charters, marinas & marine supplies, and more!
"What distinguishes Port Washington from many of the other communities on the North Shore is that our waterfront is accessible to everyone, not just to property owners,” Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio said. “I urge everyone to enjoy this special resource, and to join us in supporting our waterfront businesses, which depend heavily on this beautiful but brief season."
The ‘Welcome to Port Washington’ brochure can be found at our Town Dock and local marinas in the Bronx, New Rochelle, Mamaroneck, Connecticut and New Jersey. An online version is available on the Town’s website at www.northhempsteadny.gov under the Featured Items section of the homepage or by going directly to Welcome to Port Washington Brochure.
