Hempstead Harbor Shoreline Trail Extension is Underway

North Hempstead, NY – Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio were joined by Mindy Germain and Dan Donatelli of Residents for a More Beautiful Port Washington to witness the commencement of the construction for the expansion of the Shoreline Trail along West Shore Road in Port Washington on August 11th. This project, which is part of the 2014-2018 Capital Plan approved by the Town Board earlier this year, is scheduled to be completed in late September and will add one mile to the existing quarter mile trail. The $800,000 project will be completed with the aid of $371,000 in grant funding from the Nassau County Bond Act and New York State Parks.
