Bosworth Appoints Deputy Supervisor
Aline Khatchadourian of Manhasset named to position
North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth announced this week the appointment of Town Finance Director Aline Khatchadourian to the position of Deputy Supervisor. Khatchadourian will also continue with her duties as Finance Director.
“Aline’s skills and expertise in local government, as well as her ability to work collaboratively with our council members, commissioners, and department heads, make her the ideal choice to fill this important role,” said Supervisor Bosworth.
“I am honored to be working with Supervisor Bosworth and her dynamic team,” said Khatchadourian. “We are all focused on operating an open and transparent government that has its eye on the taxpayer’s dollars, while delivering the best services possible.”
Khatchadourian has extensive experience as an accountant, auditor and comptroller, in both the public and private sectors. As she previously held the position of Director of Finance for the Minority caucus of the Nassau County Legislature and was instrumental in developing strategic and financial plans geared towards improvement of the fiscal health of the county.
She also served in a number of key fiscal positions with Nassau County, including Deputy Budget Director, Acting Deputy County Treasurer and Deputy Comptroller for Audit and Special Projects.
A Certified Public Accountant, Khatchadourian had an extensive career in the private sector prior to her public service, including many years as an audit manager with a national accounting and auditing firm. Khatchadourian was elected to two terms as a member of the Board of Education of the Manhasset School District and served as Board Vice-President. She holds an M.S. in Accounting from Pace University and graduated from Marist College with an B.A. in Finance.
