Town Invites Children for “Vacation Recreation” Day at Tully Park
North Hempstead, NY – Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the North Hempstead Town Board, in conjunction with the Department of Parks and Recreation, will be hosting “Vacation Recreation Day,” a program for children on Tuesday, February 16, beginning at 1 p.m. during the February school break.
“There’s no need to venture far for an enjoyable time. Vacation Recreation Day is a great way for children to have fun right here in the Town of North Hempstead,” said Supervisor Bosworth. “Enjoy a ‘staycation’ at Tully Park with a magic show, movie, bingo and swimming, all within a short drive from home.”
Participants will be able to enjoy a magic show with Scott Interrante, bingo, a showing of the motion picture movie “Inside Out” and swimming at the indoor pool.
The program is $5 per child for members of Tully Park’s Aquatic Activity Center and $12 for non-members. For the pool time portion of the program, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Vacation Recreation program is for school children ages 6 and older. Pre-registration is required and can be completed at Michael J. Tully Park, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Saturday & Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please call 311 or visit www.northhempsteadny.gov.
