Squire Cinemas Screens 2016 Oscar-Nominated Live-Action Short Films

North Hempstead, NY – Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board are pleased to announce that Bow Tie Squire Cinemas in Great Neck will be screening the 2016 Oscar-Nominated Live-Action Short films on February 3, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. The screening, held by the Gold Coast International Film Festival and the Gold Coast Art Center, will be followed by a Q&A session with special guests, including Oscar-winning filmmakers.

All five of the 2016 Academy Award nominees for “Best Live Action Short Film” will be shown. The films, which all run for 30 minutes or less, are Ave Maria, Shok, Everything Will Be OK, Stutterer and Day One. Following the screening there will be a Q&A session with Oscar-winning filmmaker, Mara Kassin, producer of Curfew and recipient of the 2013 Oscar for Best Live-Action Short Film, and Alexandra Gil, Gold Coast International Film Festival’s short film curator.
