“Yes We Can” Community Center to Host Tech Class for Children

North Hempstead, NY – Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Council Member Viviana Russell are pleased to announce that the “Yes We Can” Community Center in New Cassel will be hosting a computer and internet program for children, called “High Tech Tuesdays,” starting on May 17.

The program is open to all “Yes We Can” Community Center members, grades 6 through 12. The classes will be taught by Darrell Gunn, the Chief Technology Officer at a Manhattan-based company. Participants will learn how the internet works, how to create their own website, and learn graphic design. At the final class, students will be able to share and present their creations with their friends and family. The program is every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 pm., from May 17 to June 28 with a mandatory parent/guardian orientation on May 16.
