North Hempstead Arts Advisory Council Hosts Juried Art Exhibit

North Hempstead, NY –North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, the Town Board and the Town’s Business & Tourism Development Corporation (“BTDC”) along with the North Hempstead Arts Advisory Council are pleased to announce that the Town will be holding a reception for the opening of the second Arts Matter! Juried Art Exhibit on Tuesday, March 14 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall in Manhasset. The art will be on display in Town Hall until April 28.

The reception will feature 10 pieces of art from local artists that entered in the Arts Matter! Juried Art contest. Each piece of art drew its inspiration from “Multi-Cultural Aspects of the Town of North Hempstead.”

“The diversity here in North Hempstead makes our Town fertile ground for artistic expression with our second Arts Matter! Juried Art Exhibit,” said Supervisor Bosworth. “Bringing art to this public venue here at Town Hall never ceases to inspire and spark conversations among those viewing it.”

Kim Kaiman, Executive Director of the BTDC said, “With the theme of Multi-Cultural Aspects of the Town of North Hempstead, it is clear that North Hempstead’s artists were inspired by a unique and relevant subject matter. I am honored that these artists were willing to share their talent with us and allow us to display their artwork for all to enjoy!”

The event is free and open to the public. Town Hall is located at 220 Plandome Road in Manhasset.
