North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board recently announced that areas across the Town will have roadways resurfaced this summer season. The Town’s Highway Department will be supervising the resurfacing over 65,000 linear feet of road across the Town.

“Our summer road resurfacing schedule is in full swing,” said Supervisor Bosworth. “We are committed to improving the Town’s infrastructure and repaving our roads is a major component of our Five-Year Capital Plan. In addition to repaving residential roads, we are also targeting many of the roadways in industrial areas, which are exposed to heavy truck traffic.”

The road paving schedule was determined after an evaluation by the Supervisor, council members, the Superintendent of the Highway Department and the Town’s Finance Director.
