North Hempstead Announces Star-Studded Lineup for 7th Annual Children’s Music Festival KidStock
New Location at Clark Botanic Garden
North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board have announced the lineup for this year’s children’s music festival, KidStock. The festival will be held on Saturday, September 16 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Clark Botanic Garden. The 7th Annual KidStock is a FREE outdoor family music festival which stars nationally-acclaimed musical entertainment including Grammy-award winning artists.
“Music is transformative and can turn an ordinary summer day into a fun-filled celebration for the entire family,” said Supervisor Bosworth “and that is exactly what Kidstock delivers among the beautiful backdrop of our Clark Botanic Garden. I hope everyone will come out to enjoy a music-filled day at the garden with, crafts, games and more.”
The lineup consists of KidStock favorite Alex and the Kaleidoscope band, Dirty Sock Funtime Band and Joanie Leeds and the Nightlights. Bach to Rock Port Washington will have hands-on and interactive opportunities for children to explore musical instruments. All the festival acts will inspire and encourage children to celebrate and learn through the power of music and creativity.
There will be additional activities including a performance by National Circus Project and free face painting.
Please bring picnic blankets and/or beach chairs. The event is FREE of charge. Clark Botanic Garden is located at 193 I.U. Willets Road in Albertson. For more information please call 311 or (516) 869-6311.
