Town Council Member Viviana Russell Re-Elected with 56% of the Vote

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Council Member Viviana Russell (1st District) was re-elected on November 7 to a four-year term with 3,362 votes, or a 56% margin of victory over her opponent.

“I have strong and deep roots in our community and I’m dedicated to representing and serving the needs of our residents,” said Council Member Russell. “I pledge to work in the best interests of everyone in our community.”

Council Member Russell was first elected in November 2009. She represents the 1st District of the Town of North Hempstead which includes New Cassel/Westbury, Carle Place and the Villages of Westbury and Old Westbury.

Russell will begin her third full-term as Councilwoman on January 1, 2018. The swearing in ceremony will take place on January 7, 2018.
