TOWN SALUTES WINNERS OF ANNUAL “CREATE THE EARTH DAY LOGO CONTEST”
(Manhasset, NY April 17) – North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman presented proclamations to the winners of the Town’s Annual “Create The Earth Day Logo Contest” prior to the Town Board Meeting held on Tuesday, April 17, 2007.
“I want to thank everybody who participated in the contest,” Kaiman said. “And I want to congratulate the winners for their creativity in developing our official logo for this year’s Earth Day celebration activities.”
More than 350 high school students submitted entries. The winning logo has been printed on tee-shirts that will be distributed during community clean up events and at the Town’s 2ND Annual EcoFest Celebration on May 5th and 6th.
