Mary Jane Davies Green on Tuesday, September 25 from 4 to 6 p.m.

North Hempstead, NY –North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Council Member Anna Kaplan, and the North Hempstead Town Board are proud to present the 11th annual “Kids Safety Day” on Tuesday, September 25 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Mary Jane Davies Green in Manhasset.

The event is designed to engage children and their parents in education about fire, the internet, car safety and more. The Manhasset Lakeville Fire Department will be on hand with a smokehouse that will allow children to get a hands-on experience on how to safely exit a burning structure. Kids Safety Day will also feature giveaways, arts and crafts and more.

“We look forward to hosting Kids Safety Day every year. This community tradition allows children and their families learn how to stay safe in many different ways,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “Through partnerships with local organizations we able to create an event that is filled with useful information and resources for our residents.”

Council Member Anna Kaplan, who is co-hosting the event, said, “Kids Safety Day has become a valuable tradition that teaches ways keep our children safe. Supervisor Bosworth and I are excited to once again be hosting this community event and are looking forward to seeing many of our residents take advantage of what this event has to offer.”
