Town Proclaims May as Building Safety Month

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board recently gathered with the Town’s Building Department to proclaim the month of May as Building Safety Month throughout the North Hempstead.

Building Safety Month was designed as a public awareness campaign created by the International Code Council (ICC) to help individuals, families and businesses understand what it takes to create safe and sustainable structures. The campaign reinforces the need for adoption of modern, model building codes, a strong and efficient system of code enforcement and a well-trained, professional workforce to maintain the system.

For more information and to contact the Town’s Building Department please call 311 or 516-869-6311 from outside of the Town.
