Now Hiring for The 2020 U.S. Census!

 North Hempstead partners with Port Library and the U.S. Census Bureau to Host Recruitment Fair

North Hempstead, NY – Looking for some part time work? The U.S. Census Bureau is looking to recruit census takers, assistants and office staff!

Town of North Hempstead’s Town Clerk Wayne Wink has announced a partnership with The U.S. Census Bureau, the Port Washington Public Library’s Career and Personal Finance Center to host a Census 2020 Job Recruitment Fair on Wednesday, August 21 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Port Washington Public Library. The event will feature representatives from the New York Regional Census Center who will discuss the hiring process for the 2020 Census.

Census Bureau is looking to hire:

  • Census takers
  • Recruiting assistants
  • Office & supervisory staff.

Jobs are offered with flexible hours and pay rates in a $20 range. In order to qualify for a position residents must be 18 years old and a U.S. Citizen. Bilingual speakers of Spanish, Korean, Chinese and Japanese are desirable candidates.

Registration for this event is not required but is highly encouraged.
