Add Some Love to Your Home by Adopting a Dog from the Town’s Animal Shelter
North Hempstead, NY – Each month North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board feature several dogs who are up for adoption at the Town’s Animal Shelter. This month’s featured pups include Diego, Hunter and Luna:
Diego is one of the longest residents at the shelter, coming in as a stray in 2014, but he doesn't let that get him down! Diego is a happy, dapper gentleman that loves to go for walks and chase the ball, but he also likes to snuggle up for some petting. Diego loves all people he meets but would have to be the only pet in the house.
Hunter is an 11 month old Pointer/pit bull mix who loves to play! Hunter is a smart and athletic boy who absolutely loves our agility equipment, especially the hurdle jump. Hunter lived with small dogs and children in his former home and is seeking a new, active family dedicated to continuing his training.
Luna is a year old and is as sweet as can be. Since she is a young pup, she is very active and would need a family that could keep up with her! Due to her exuberance, we are recommending a family with children older than 10+ dedicated to continuing her training.
