North Hempstead Officials Join with County Officials & PBA for Backpack Giveaway

North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Council Member Viviana Russell and Nassau County Legislator Siela Bynoe, in partnership with the Nassau County Police Benevolent Association (PBA), the Superior Officers Association and the Nassau County Detectives Association, held the annual Road to Success Backpack Giveaway on Saturday, August 24 at Magnolia Garden in Westbury.

Over 1,000 backpacks containing school supplies for the upcoming school year were given out to children who attended the event. In addition to the giveaway, there was also music, face painting, fun activities and even a helicopter landing by the Nassau County Police Department.
