Town to Hold Remote Board Meeting To Protect Residents
Wednesday, June 24 meeting will be broadcast on Town’s website
North Hempstead, NY - North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board announced that a special meeting of the Town Board will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 12 p.m. The meeting will be held remotely via video conference. Town officials are reminding residents that the Town Board room will not be open to the public and there will be no in-person access to the meeting.
“As we continue the phases of reopening, it is important to still remain cautious and to adhere to social distancing guidelines,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “We believe it is in the best interest to continue holding our Town Board meetings remotely for the time being. This helps us take the necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our residents.”
The meeting will be broadcast live on the Town's website beginning at 12 p.m. Residents who are interested in viewing the meetings can visit: northhempsteadny.gov/townboardlive. The meeting agenda can be viewed at: northhempsteadny.gov/2020-Agendas-Minutes.
