Town to Host Virtual Office Hours via Zoom

North Hempstead, NY - North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board have announced a new initiative that will allow residents to connect virtually with their area Council member and the Town's Resident Advocate, Lauren Summa for assistance with a Town Department. This initiative was created in an effort to provide a direct connection between the Town and constituents during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These office hours will be scheduled by appointment only. This program is intended to give residents a way to communicate with their Town Officials remotely in a safe environment while some Town facilities remain closed to the public.

"As we gradually and cautiously progress back to normalcy, we understand that residents will have a variety of questions that they need answered," said Supervisor Bosworth. "This virtual office-hours program presents a unique and vital opportunity for our residents to communicate directly with their representatives from the comfort of their own homes."

The meetings will be conducted online using the Zoom platform or by phone if preferred. This is a part of the Town’s initiative to continue to offer digital and remote services for residents.

The Town has already created a NHTV at Home series providing education, informational and recreational video content for residents. In addition, earlier last month the Town unveiled a free drive-in movie series at Town parks.
