Town Residential Drop-Off Open Every Other Week
Modified schedule to keep residents and staff safe

North Hempstead, NY - In continuing an important resource for the community, North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board remind residents that the Sunday Residential Drop-Off at the North Hempstead transfer station in Port Washington will be continuing through October with a modified schedule.

The Sunday Residential Drop-Off is currently open every other Sunday through October 18. Accepted items will include recyclables, e-waste, yard waste, household DIY project waste and rubbish (excluding curbside solid waste). No commercial waste will be accepted.

All residents will be asked to show a valid driver’s license to ensure they reside in the North Hempstead.

Upcoming dates for the Sunday Residential Drop-Off include: October 4 and October 18.
