North Hempstead Hosts Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
NHTV to premiere virtual program and cooking show

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Council Member Viviana Russell, and the Town Board announced this week that the Town will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a virtual program premiering on North Hempstead TV and the Town’s social media pages.

Tune in on Tuesday, October 13 at 7 p.m. and October 16 at 4 p.m. to channel 18 or 63 on Cablevision or channel 46 on Verizon to see the special presentation which will feature highlights from previous Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, a performance from Rudance Ballroom Dance School, an artist showcase with Patty Eljaiek, an intergenerational discussion with the Reyes family as well as greetings from the Town’s board members.

On Wednesday, October 14 at 4 p.m. join us for a special Hispanic cuisine cooking segment from Council Member Russell and her family.

Hispanic Heritage Month begins each year on September 15, the anniversary of independence for five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, with Mexico’s anniversary of its independence on September 16.
