TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD ANNOUNCES MONTHLY HEALTH AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS
New Hyde Park, NY - Supervisor Jon Kaiman announced today that the Town of North Hempstead’s Community Services department, its pioneer program Project Independence, and FEGS will now offer monthly Health and Education Programs for senior citizens at Clinton G. Martin Park. Each seminar will be on separate topics focusing on health and general senior education. To register for the programs call 516-869-7715.
The program will be held every fourth Friday of the month and will take place at Clinton G. Martin Park, 1601 Marcus Avenue, New Hyde Park at 10:00am.
When: Friday, January 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
What: Topics will be How to Avoid Scams that Prey on Senior Citizens.

When: Friday, February 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
What: Topics will be Winter Blues and Coping Skills
Presented by Andrea Jaret, LCSW, North Shore LIJ, The Zucker Hillside Hospital
When: Friday, March 28, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
What: Topics will be Elder Law and Special Needs Planning
