Town Releases Holiday Drive-In Movie Schedule
North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board have announced two holiday drive-in movies scheduled for December. They will include: Elf on Saturday, December 19 at 6:30 p.m. and How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Saturday, December 26 at 6:30 p.m. Both showings will be held at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington.
Cars will be admitted beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the movies will start at 6:30 p.m. While the events are FREE, the Town is encouraging attendees to bring non-perishable/canned foods to each showing as part of North Hempstead's donation drive. Residents must register their cars in advance by visiting: www.northhempsteadny.gov/holidayevents or by calling 311.
There will be no food available for purchase during the movies. However, residents are encouraged to bring their own snacks. Restroom facilities will be available.
