North Hempstead Joins with Chabad of Manhasset for Menorah Lighting at Mary Jane Davies Green on December 5 at 3 p.m.

North Hempstead, NY – TTown of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth, the Town Board, and the Chabad of Manhasset will be hosting a Menorah Lighting and Hanukkah Celebration on Sunday, December 5, 2021 starting at 3 p.m. at Mary Jane Davies Green.

The event will feature musical performances, fire dancers, a chocolate Gelt drop, and the lighting of the menorah.

Hanukkah, which runs this year from Sunday, November 28 to Monday, December 6 celebrates the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, when it is said that one day's worth of sacred oil lasted for eight days.

Mary Jane Davies Green is located on Plandome Road across from Town Hall at 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset.
