North Hempstead Seeks Lifeguards, Recreation Aides, and Laborers for Summer Months  

North Hempstead, NY – The Town of North Hempstead is now hiring lifeguards, recreation aides, and laborers for the summer season in North Hempstead parks.

The Town is seeking staff to join the North Hempstead team at any one of its six aquatic facilities and the “Yes We Can” Community Center.

Lifeguards should be able to work at indoor and outdoor facilities, including pools and waterfront venues. Lifeguards will have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer months. Lifeguards’ positions offer a competitive salary of $16-$18 an hour.

All lifeguard applicants must have the appropriate lifeguard certification from Nassau County and possess a current CPR/AED certification.

Recreation aids performs recreational and enrichment activities at the “Yes We Can” Community Center Summer Day Camp. Recreation aide positions offer a competitive salary beginning at $15 an hour commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Laborers perform a wide variety of manual tasks and duties indoor and outdoor. Laborer positions begin at $15 an hour.
