Council Members Lurvey & Zuckerman Partner with Local Community Organizations for Empower Moms: Essential Support Drive

North Hempstead, NY – Council Members Veronica Lurvey and Peter Zuckerman are excited to partner with Harmony Healthcare Long Island, Hofstra University, and the Women’s Diversity Network for a Perinatal and Infant Donation Drive. This initiative aims to provide essential items and support to expectant mothers and families in need throughout our community.

“I invite all our residents to join with me in contributing and helping those in need,” said Council Member Lurvey. “By lending a helping hand, we can make a difference in the lives of new mothers and their children.”

“We encourage everyone to join us in supporting new moms and moms to be,” said Council Member Zuckerman. “We have convenient donation drop off locations throughout the Town making it simple and easy to help out.”

Harmony Healthcare Long Island’s Perinatal & Infant Community Health Collaborative (PICHC) connects the community to much needed resources and support. They strive to help individuals on their pregnancy journey from prenatal care to post-partum care. This includes education, workshops, and support groups.

The Women’s Diversity Network (WDN) works to create positive change through unity and collective work.
