North Hempstead and Chabad of Manhasset to Host Chanukah Festival & Menorah Lighting at Town Hall on December 10 at 3 p.m. 

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena, the Town Board, and the Chabad of Manhasset will be hosting a Chanukah Festival on Sunday, December 10, 2023 starting at 3 p.m. at Town Hall in Manhasset.

The event, which is sponsored by North Shore University Hospital at Northwell Health, will feature musical performances including a performance by the Manhasset High School band, a breakdance performance by Emphasis Entertainment, and the lighting of the menorah.

Chanukah, which runs this year from Thursday, December 7 to Friday, December 15, celebrates the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, when it is said that one day's worth of sacred oil lasted for eight days.
