Town to host Winter Wonderland!
Annual Winter Showcase December 13 – 14
Albertson , NY — The balm of autumn and its colorful foliage may have bowed to chillier, less colorful days.
But, refusing to cave in to the winter blues, Supervisor Jon Kaiman announced a winter celebration that has become an area tradition: the Town of North Hempstead’s Winter Wonderland extravaganza at Clark Botanic Gardens.
Featuring a fanciful festival of lights designed to kindle your holiday spirit, decorations will delight family members of all ages, especially the electric trains which will command center-stage in the living room in Old Clark House.
The little ones may have to compete with older enthusiasts to get a glimpse of the true-to-life train display, but the main two days of the event—Saturday and Sunday Dec. 13 and 14—are specially planned with children in mind.
There’ll be plenty of opportunities for them to decorate cookies, show off their expertise at a variety of holiday-flavored crafts, participate in Polar Express and special holiday readings, take in the seasonal flora on a Clark Garden tour or listen to live holiday music, and much more.
While the annual winter showcase will peak Dec. 13-14 from 11:00am to 4:00pm, the decorations will remain on display until December 26. Admission to Winter Wonderland is FREE.
