North Hempstead to Host Lifeguard Job Fair at Manorhaven Beach Pool and Park
North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena and the Town Board have announced that North Hempstead will host a Lifeguard Job Fair at Manorhaven Beach Pool and Park (158 Manorhaven Blvd, Port Washington) on Friday, May 17, Friday, May 24, and Friday May 31, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Residents aged 15 years or older are encouraged to attend and learn more about lifeguarding in North Hempstead and the benefits that come with the position.
“Having a full staff of qualified lifeguards at our pools and beaches is key to making sure residents have a safe and fun summer,” said Supervisor DeSena. “But it’s also a great opportunity for young people or really anyone who’s seeking seasonal work. Now is the time to apply so I encourage neighbors not to wait. Come to one of the job fairs at Manorhaven Beach Pool and see why this is such an outstanding opportunity.”
Lifeguard positions offer a competitive salary, starting at $18 an hour and are available throughout the summer at an indoor facility, or outdoors at either pools or a waterfront venue. Candidates can work part-time or up to 40 hours per week and attendant positions are available as well.
