Town of North Hempstead to Host Spooky Week 2011
Clark Botanic Garden to Transform into Zombie Containment Facility
North Hempstead, NY— With Halloween just over two weeks away, Supervisor Jon Kaiman and the North Hempstead Town Board announced the approach of one of the Town’s most popular events: Spooky Week.
For three terrifyingly, spooky nights, zombies, ghosts, ghouls, goblins, swamp monsters and a bunch of their gruesome buddies will rise up one last time, inducing screams on the 12-acre, smog-shrouded Zombie Containment Facility (Clark Botanic Garden).
The first three days of the 2011 Spooky Walk—which may not be suitable for young children and requires that all minors be accompanied by an adult—happens from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 27, Friday Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct 29. Entry fee is $5.
Not-so-Spooky Walk —suitable for children of all ages—takes place Sunday Oct. 30 from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. The entry fee is $3.
Boasting more than 12-acres of planted, well manicured grounds, Clark Botanic Garden, located at 193 IU Willets Rd., Albertson, is as perfect a setting as any for North Hempstead’s ultra-popular four-day Halloween extravaganza.
Come if you dare.
