Celebrate Presidents Day Weekend at Town’s Aquatic Activity Center with Half-Off Holiday Discount
New Hyde Park, NY – Encouraging families to use the Holiday recess as an opportunity to play together and stay active at the same time, Supervisor Jon Kaiman, Councilman Angelo P. Ferrara and the North Hempstead Town Board announced that the daily entry fees to North Hempstead Aquatic Activity Center (AAC) at Michael J. Tully Park will reduced by half for Presidents Day weekend.
The 50 percent holiday discount will be effective from Feb. 18 to Feb. 20, 2012.
“With the movement growing to promote healthy lifestyles among young people, I urge all North Hempstead residents to take advantage of this special discounted holiday rate and bring your entire family to the pool for a healthy, fun-filled holiday outing,” Supervisor Jon Kaiman said.
The 30,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, which opened about a year ago after a total reconstruction, boasts an array of exciting features. The pool area, for example, is equipped with a figure eight slide and three separate zones, an interactive area with six water features, a zone with six lanes for lap swimming and a zero-depth entry zone for wading. A pool lift is also available.
Located on the main level, the exercise room—three times the size of the old one—has a wall of windows overlooking the pool. New spin cycles compliment the selection of exercise equipment.
Following are the discounted holiday rates:
ADULT $5.50
TEEN $4.00
CHILD $3.50
SENIOR $3.00
DISABLED $3.00
VETERAN $3.00
GUESTS (NON-RESIDENT) $7.00
For Town of North Hempstead residents, identification (a Driver’s License) is required. Guests must be accompanied by a Town resident.
