North Hempstead Concert Series Comes to Mary Jane Davies Green This Summer!
 
North Hempstead, NY– Add Mary Jane Davies Green to the list of outdoor venues that will host the Town’s popular 2012 Summer Concert Series.

Supervisor Jon Kaiman, Councilwoman Anna Kaplan and the Town Board announced that Mary Jane Davies Green, located on Plandome Road in Manhasset across the street from Town Hall, will be the site of six free Monday night concerts that start on July 9th and finish up on August 13th. All shows start at 7:30 pm.

“With the summer season finally upon us, we welcome residents from all over the Town to come join us for these exciting evenings here in Manhasset,” said Supervisor Jon Kaiman.

Free admission is available to all attendees. A rain location is set for the Manhasset Public Library.

The following concert series will take place over the next two months:

SOMETHING SPECIAL BIG BAND will be performing on Monday, July 9th. They’re a 17-Piece count Basie-style band in the same genre a Harry James, Glenn Miller and more!

QUICK DRAW will be playing on Monday, July 16th. Come see this country jam band with a touch of blues and southern rock.

LIVERPOOL SHUFFLE will be performing on Monday, July 23rd. It is their passion to keep the music of The Beatles alive!

SWINGTIME BIG BAND will be there Monday, July 30th. Under the baton of Steve Shaiman, Swingtime brings big band music to life for a new generation of audiences.

MATT MARSHAK JAZZ BAND will be showcasing their talents on Monday, August 6th. Come by to enjoy a lively, energetic show of contemporary Jazz.

THE DIRTY SOCK FUNTIME BAND will be performing on Monday, August 13th. This group brings rock and happiness with crazy fun tunes for all ages. Fun for the whole family!
