North Hempstead Makes Monstrous Preparations for Annual Scare Fest: Spooky Walk
Albertson, NY– With Halloween just over two weeks away, Supervisor Jon Kaiman and the North Hempstead Town Board announced the approach of one of the Town’s most popular events: Spooky Walk.
For three terrifying nights, ghosts, ghouls, goblins, swamp monsters and many of their gruesome buddies will rise up, inducing blood-curdling screams on the 12-acre, smog-shrouded Containment Facility (Clark Botanic Garden) as they face impending doom of the Zombie Apocalypse.
The first three days of the 2012 Spooky Walk—which may not be suitable for young children and requires that all minors be accompanied by an adult—happens from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Oct. 25, 26 and 27). The entry fee is $5.
Not-so-Spooky Walk —suitable for children of all ages—will take place on Sunday Oct. 28 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The entry fee for Not-so-Spooky Walk is $3.
In addition to its frightening trails, Spooky Walk 2012 will also boast live music, food, and over 100 live actors. Popular music group “Johnny and the Werewolves” will be performing on Saturday night.
Featuring more than 12-acres of planted, well-manicured grounds, Clark Botanic Garden, located at 193 I.U. Willets Road in Albertson, is as perfect a setting as any for North Hempstead’s ultra-popular four-day Halloween extravaganza.
