Free Pet Rabies Vaccinations

Manhasset, NY – Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Councilman Tom Dwyer announced today that the Town of North Hempstead will be offering free rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats. The clinic will be held on Saturday May 14, 2005 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Town animal shelter, 75 Marino Avenue in Port Washington. All dogs should be brought to the shelter on a leash and cats should be brought in a carrier. Residents can call the Animal Shelter with questions about the clinic at (516) 944-8220.
All dogs vaccinated should be licensed. State law requires all dogs to be licensed. If you are a resident of the Town of North Hempstead, you can pick up a Dog License Application at the Town Clerk's Office at 200 Plandome Road in Manhasset, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm.
