Town Announces the Reopening of Pools for the Summer 

North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board have announced that the Town pool facilities will be open for the summer season. This includes the outdoor pool facilities located at Manorhaven Beach Park, Martin “Bunky” Reid Park, Whitney Pond Park, Clinton G. Martin Park*, and Harbor Hills* which will be open to Town residents.

“With temperatures on the rise and summer underway, we are so excited to see the reopening of many of the activities that we all love including our local community pools," said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. "We invite residents and their families to join us at one of our many pools to cool down this summer. It is a great way to have some fun and create new summer memories.”

Initially outdoor pools will be open daily with limited capacity for two sessions. The pool facility will be closed midday for cleaning. Visitors will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis. Guidelines are subject to change as per Department of Health guidelines.

Manorhaven Beach Park
Pool opens Saturday, June 19
Open daily Saturday, June 19 – Friday, August 20 at 9 a.m. through 7 p.m.
(Session 1: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Session 2: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; closed 2 pm. to 3 p.m. for sanitization)

Open daily Saturday, August 21 – Monday, September 6 at 10 a.m. through 6 p.m.
(Session 1: 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Session 2: 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.; closed 1:30 pm. to 2:30 p.m. for sanitization)

You can register in advance from Tuesday, June 1 through Friday, June 18. Hours include: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. After June 18, residents can register during normal hours of operation. Early Bird registration ends June 25. All registration must be done in person at the pool.

Pool opens Saturday, May 29

You can register in advance on Sunday, May 23, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and weekdays through Friday, May 28. After Saturday, May 29, residents can register during normal hours of operation. All registration must be done in person at the pool.

Open weekends only Saturday, May 29 – Friday, June 18, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

No Fees – Special Park Residents Only High traffic areas will also be cleaned frequently throughout the day. Upon exiting, attendees will not be allowed to reenter. All exits are final. No guest passes or guest entry will be allowed.

Social distancing guidelines for the pools will be in effect, which will require residents to wear masks when not in the pool, maintain social distancing guidelines, and stay six feet apart while waiting on line in the facility and while on the pool deck. Facility capacity will be monitored, and hours of operation may be adjusted accordingly to help adhere to social distancing guidelines. Locker rooms and showering facilities will have a reduced capacity and visitors are encouraged to wash their hands frequently.

Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. No outside food deliveries will be allowed and no food will be allowed on the pool deck. Food will be allowed in designated areas only.

Guest passes will be permitted for children grandchildren under 13. No guest or guest passes will be permitted for teenagers, adults, or seniors. All teenagers, adults, and seniors must be residents to use the pools.
